TRIBUNJOGJA.COM  - Setelah merilis lagu Let Me Down Slowly, Alec Benjamin kembali merilis single berjudul Mind Is A Prison.

Lagu tersebut dirilis pada 23 Desember dan menjadi trending di Youtube. 

Video klip Mind Is A Prison tersebut memperlihatkan Benjamin yang masuk dalam kolam besar.

Kolam tersebut membuat dirinya terjebak dan tenggelam lalu dia bernyanyi. Berikut penggalan lirik lagu Mind Is A Prison

Mengutip dari wawancara Papermag.com, Benjamin sampai berlebihan memikirkan lirik lagu tersebut.

Terutama ketika dia memilih untuk merilis lagu baru dan tujuan yang baru yang dia buat.

"Aku berpikir banyak dan terkadang ideku terhambat di kepala. Orang-orang menyuruhku jangan terllau dipikirkan. Namun aku tak bisa memilih itu." ucap Benjamin.

Lagu ini membuatnya tak bisa memilih, dia seperti terperangkap dalam pikirannya sendiri.

"Aku merasa seperti terperangkap dalam pikiran dan kamulah musuh terburuk dalam hidupmu" ucap Benjamin.

"Aku merasa takut untuk membuat lagu dan terkadang aku berpikir apakah lagu ini bagus. Terkadang aku seperti berada di tempat yang gelap" tambahnya.

Namun Benjamin senang merilis lagu Mind Is A Prison. Lagu ini rasanya seperti berteman dengan John Mayer dan kerentanan.
