Selfie Time at FKY 2014

TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, YOGYA – The art performances and main event at The Yogyakarta Art Festival 2014 would only be started at 4 pm. There are not much to see before that. Most of the merchandise booth also would only been opened around that time. There was only one or two booths open among nine which are gathered under one joglo-like building. There are at least four joglo for merchandise booths selling traditional and modern handicraft from blangkon to flanel bags. Many of food booths were also closed.

Nevertheless, there were some tourist that came in the aftenoon. Most of them are local tourists for they were seen came riding motorcyles with local licence initial, AB. Some others were from other province as they were heard speaking other dialects. And some others were foreigners that came along with or without their tourist guide.

Despite the lack of sightseeing, these visitors made their own entertainment. Some booths were seen to be left by the seller. Therefore, visitors use this opportunity to take some pictures in front of orderly arranged beautiful handycrafts or paintings such as taking picture with a painting of Indonesian President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The visitors also find the empty music stage as another good spot to take selfie. Other place were the handycraft tree at the entrance and the colorful caping decoration wall at the outer gate. Some foreigners were seen to take piture with their camera and tripod while local tourist which most of them are teenager were seen to use their cellphone and tongsis. (TRIBUNJOGJA.COM)
